The big 'what-if' deals that almost happened.

The NFL season lasts just a few short months, but the rumour mill is a constantly whirling frenzy of potential deals, crazy trades, and shock departures, the vast majority of which, will never actually take place. But in some cases, a lot of the biggest stars in the league have had brushes with other teams whether that be in the draft or a mega trade deal. Hindsight is a marvellous thing, and looking back at some of the decisions teams have made uncovers some spectacularly bad decisions from the general managers and coaches of the league. At the time, every team obviously thought they were doing what was best for the franchise, but they have been proven sorely wrong, with future Hall Of Famers, Super Bowl champions and MVPs slipping through their grasp when they were in pole position to land them. Franchises can still be rotting from decisions made a decade ago. So let's take a look at 10 of the NFL's biggest stars who very nearly didn't embark on their iconic careers, and instead would've played elsewhere in the league.
