Peyton Manning is the American Dream. Rich, athletic, and undeniably one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, a model example for youngsters. Or is he? The 39-year-old veteran has a squeaky-clean image, the wise, warming grandfather of football who can still pack a punch when it comes to playing the game, though that hasn't always been the case. Manning isn't all perfect, with a run-in with the law to his name. But on a lighter note, aside from serious allegations, Manning has some blotches on an otherwise sensational career. The five-time NFL MVP set the record for the most ever touchdown passes with 530, and set the single season passing yard record at 5,477. Another sterling season from the old master will see Manning smash Brett Favre's career passing record which stands at 71,838. It's expected that if Manning maintains his career average, he could break the record during Week 8 against the Packers, though if his production rate slows down - something that will inevitably happen eventually - he could actually break the record in 'The House That Peyton Built' in front of his still-adoring Indianapolis Colts fans during Week 9.
