8. The Rooms At The Contemporary Can Be Taken Out And Replaced

Possibly one of the weirder "facts" is that the rooms at The Contemporary can apparantely be taken out and replaced.

This odd rumour was likely to have started because of how the hotel was constructed. The rooms weren't built within the main A-frame building. They separately constructed in a conveyor type system and then lifted the rooms into place.

Even though they were built this way it would be virtually impossible for the rooms to be removed. Once in place, the rooms were connected to the building's plumbing, electricity and then sealed within the main frame of the building.
