With their cute and energetic demeanour, what's not love about the animated Minions from Despicable Me? While the cartoon is geared towards people under four foot tall, it's unsurprisingly appealing to adults as well because, after all, don't you know at handful of grown ups who still watches Disney and Pixar movies just for the hell of it?. Ok, so they might be a little silly. But sometimes it's the more ridiculous things in life that make us laugh. The minions are actually a pretty cool animated creation, with a few facts about them that are mind-blowing. Did you know that despite the limited number of distinct varieties of Minion, over 10,400 have been seen at once in advertisements and onscreen? Or that they were written into the Despicable Me script in order to make Gru more likable? (The writers stated that the easiest way to do this was to surround him with incompetence). The minions stole the show, and are now the official mascots for Illumination Entertainment. Everyone's excited for the July release of the Minions film and, if you're not, you should be. There's no doubt that the little tic-tac shaped yellow entities will be back on the big screens with some great antics and further advice to add to the following ten life lessons you should have already learnt from one of Pixar's greatest creations.
