10 Reasons To Stop Hating On J.K. Rowling

8. Fantastic Beasts Is Far From Terrible

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was a disappointment. Unlike the nine movies that preceded it, The Crimes of Grindelwald was the first film in Rowling’s universe that felt mediocre.

Still, it was far from terrible. The characters may not be as likeable or as distinctive as those in the eight Harry Potter movies, but some of them are decent enough. Eddy Redmayne’s performance as Newt Scamander is certainly charming, and Jacob Kowalski is the funniest character Rowling has ever written.

Though The Crimes of Grindelwald was difficult to follow, its predecessor was perfectly admirable. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them had a much more accessible plot, and the characters were also more rounded due to the simple fact that there were less of them.

Despite the flaws of The Crimes of Grindelwald, the three remaining films in the franchise have the potential to be just as exhilarating as the Harry Potter movies.
