Hey, why should the Yanks and the Aussies have all the fun, though? Whilst its former colonies get the lion's share of the military-alien conspiracy theories, Great Britain isn't short of UFO sightings either. Which is to say, Britain has just as dodgy a government, military, and there's a lot of countryside and farm land full of drunk and/or gullible people. Still, you can see why people would be suspicious about the science park Porton Down, located near the Salisbury plain in Wiltshire. Once again, nobody knows what actually goes on in there, but it's suggested the secure site is full of important government agencies that work on defence, science, health, and disaster preparedness. Like Pine Gap, the reason Porton Down's been marked as a potential alien base is because of a 1974 UFO sighting covered up as a military drill, despite dozens of local witnesses, and confused military members alike who have been silenced. Even if there's no aliens there, they do weird stuff like give LSD to monkeys to measure the results.
