Migraines are a real pain - quite literally - but there's actually a really good reason why we're susceptible to them. They're brought on by either an extremely hot or an extremely cold temperature. In other words, the weather is to blame.

The sudden change in weather conditions results in an imbalance in brain chemicals - namely serotonin - which then causes a migraine. According to WebMD, experts believe that people who often get headaches of any sort have a greater sensitivity to changes in the environment. Doesn't sound very fair, does it?

It's rather frustrating, as we unfortunately cannot change the weather, but what we can do is find an area where its neither too warm or too cold - i.e. stay somewhere where the temperature is just right.
