10. Jason Isaacs Didn't Want To Be Lucius Malfoy

Having just been cast as Captain Hook in the 2003 movie adaptation, Jason Isaacs actually had no desire to play the villainous Lucius Malfoy, who was just Hook in another guise, in the Harry Potter saga.

Originally auditioning for the part of Gilderoy Lockhart, Isaacs was asked to instead read for Death Eater Malfoy. Isaacs promptly told his agent that he wasn't going to take it but then taking the weekend to think it over, he was persuaded by family members and friends who wanted to visit him on set!
