If you've ever wondered how someone who joins Pixar manages to orientate themselves with the many facets of everything from story-boarding to animating to marketing and the deadlines that come with a film's release, well, you might not be too shocked to hear that Pixar has its own internal education system.

Pixar University is a company-run education and training operation, and acts as a way of constantly improving veteran employees as well as new recruits. The University offers everything from classes in lighting and shading to 2D animation, figure drawing, and live action film-making.

On top of that, the University offers classes in the likes of sculpting, painting, and ballet, providing ways for employees to better themselves even when it's not directly related to animation.
