15 Celebrities You Had No Idea Went To Prison

Celebrities Prison Various celebrities have ended up in prison over the years for a number of different offences. Typically rappers get put inside for drugs charges, such as Lil Wayne or 50 Cent - who spent six months in a young offender's establishment at the age of 19 for supplying heroin and cocaine. Others such as Lil Kim don't spend time inside for drugs offences €“ she whilst she was arrested for possession of marijuana in 1996, she was actually convicted of perjury in 2005 and had a prison stay of ten months for it. But you do get some unlikely celebrities ending up in prison. Take Martha Stewart for example. Martha was accused of corporate fraud, but in fact she didn't get sentenced for that. Instead, it was Conspiracy, obstruction of an agency proceeding and making false statements to investigators... who were accusing her of corporate fraud. Sometimes it seems like the man is going to get you with something. She spent five months in the slammer, and then two years on supervision by probation in the community. Of course we also have the formerly-young and pretty crowd. You know the ones I mean, like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes. We're not restricted to American celebrities as there has been a spate of British celebrities being sentenced to prison recently. Naturally it seems that Jimmy Saville would have been if he'd still been alive, and I think we can say that Ian Watkins (not the one from Steps) is going to be following his admission of guilt. And of course we have Gary Glitter, who whenever he is mentioned in the British press is now tarnished with being called a sex predator and a paedophile. But that's just it €“ some celebrities are forever connected to offences they've committed and been sentenced to, while for others it is glossed over and never mentioned again. So let's get mentioning them! Here are fifteen celebrities that you've either had no idea went to prison at all, or completely forgotten.
