17 Weird Things You Didn't Know About Death

Did you know that it's illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament?

Whilst everyone accepts the fact that one day they're going to die, no one really seems to talk about it. In the Western world, death is something that we fear, probably because we're afraid of pain and unsure of what will happen after this life. Will there be fluffy clouds and some pearly white gates or will it be like you're back in your mother's womb? You exist but you're unaware of your existence and you're surrounded by a calming darkness for all eternity. Society in general tries everything to delay the inevitability of death. Women will search for the anti wrinkle cream to fight off signs of aging because everyone wants to stay young, youthful and beautiful. You take care of yourself, engage in physical activity, eat the rights foods and regularly check your body for any weird marks, rashes or lumps. In some cultures, death is a celebration and it's a vital part of existing because you've finished the first journey and you're taken to the next. Whilst these tribes and communities may be considered 'uncivil', they're not the ones who die from falling out of their beds - 600 people in the US alone die from falling out of their beds every year. Technically, we're designed to live forever and although the main cause of death worldwide is heart disease, the majority of us die of illnesses or diseases that come with aging. Sadly, we all have that one day in our lives when the party is finally over, but at least you can affectionately haunt those you love or hate, no biggie.
