Walt Disney World is set to undergo all kinds of changes this year.

The Great Movie Ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be shutting its doors in August to make way for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. Over at Epcot, Ellen's Energy Adventure will be closing to make way for a new Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. No longer will women be auctioned off as bride's at Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean's most infamous ride but instead the townspeople's goods will be brought up for bidding. Fans of the red haired lady shouldn't worry, she will be turning into a badass female pirate, helping the residents of Tortuga relieve themselves of their possessions.

Over the years some changes have bee welcomed more than others. I doubt too many were bothered about the removal of large cups from the Magic Kingdom. Other removals have been more painful, such as the closure of favourite attractions and restaurants.

Lots of things have vanished over the years, so let's take a look at some of things that are gone but certainly not forgotten from Walt Disney World.

2017 saw the end of Wishes, a spectacular night time fireworks display at Magic Kingdom.

Although it was replaced with Happily Ever After, never again will the glorious soundtrack to Wishes be heard at the Magic Kingdom.

Even though we did lose the soundtrack, Tinkerbell still takes flight from the castle!
