If you don't know much about Universal Orlando Resort, take the time to learn all about it before you go.

Knowing in advance what the different attractions are, the ticket types you will need and also if there are any shows you want to see. For a start you'll be able to plan better but also you will save time once you get there.

Look through Universal Orlando Resort's official website and also their blog for helpful tips and a planning tools. Other websites such as Touring Plans and Inside Universal are also ideal sources for information. Should a member of your group have specialist needs you might also want to check out Autism at the Parks.

If you are the kind of person who likes a travel book to take with you, I would highly recommend Seth Kubersky's The Unofficial Guide to Universal Orlando.

We decided to buy our tickets in advance from Universal approved seller Attraction Tickets so that we didn't need to queue at Will Call.

We talked through the attractions we thought they would enjoy the most. From past experience we knew Diagon Alley can get crowded quickly so we decided to head there first. We also decided to eat in the parks earlier in the day as we knew that finding seating for 9 people might have been difficult at peak times.

Our party were keen to know about the parks well in advance and this meant when they got there, they didn't have many questions and just relaxed.
