9 Jolly Nursery Rhymes With Deeply Disturbing Meanings

2. Jack And Jill

Jack And Jill
Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water, Jack fell down and broke his crown, And Jill came tumbling after.
So, onto adultery we go. The small English town of Kilmersdon claims that this is about a couple in 1697 who used to sneak up a hill for some hanky panky. Long story short; sordid affair, Jill gets pregnant, Jack dies from falling on a rock and subsequently caving his skull in (didn€™t break a literal crown he accessorised with) and Jill then dies from childbirth.
