9 Real-Life Creatures That Are Definitely Pokémon

8. Jerboa

This teeny tiny thing is a kind of desert rodent called a Jerboa. And also clearly a Pokémon.

They hop around the deserts of Northern Africa and Asia and look like a cross between a dormouse and a kangaroo, they can even deliver a powerful kick with their hind legs if frightened or angry.

They never drink water, which is handy when you live in the desert, and instead get all the water they need from their food.

They're also super-fancy, as they have both a winter house and a summer house, as well as special little hunting lodge in which they throw fantastic, high-class parties.*

Jerboa are pretty difficult to get hold of as pets, not least because they were linked with the spread of monkey pox. Maybe you're just better off looking at pictures on the internet for now.

*Okay, that last bit was a lie.
