Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, Pregnant With First Child

BBC News reports that Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridges, is pregnant. Kate, 30, married Prince William at Westminster Abbey on 29th April 2011. The couple became engaged in October 2010 following a 10-day holiday in Kenya. Since her marriage to the future King of England, Catherine has had a significant impact on the British Fashion industry, which industry experts have dubbed the "Kate Middleton effect". St. James' Palace have now confirmed the pregnancy news, proclaiming that the Members of the Royal family and the Middletons are "delighted" by the news. It is not currently known when the baby is due. A spokesman has revealed that the Duchess was admitted to King Edward VII hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (very acute morning sickness), where she is now expected to stay for several days. British Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted as the news broke;
"I€™m delighted by the news that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a baby. They will make wonderful parents."
Pre-empting the euphoria and worldwide media attention that is likely to explode with the news of Kate's pregnancy, a statement from the Royals suggests that the Duchess "will require a period of rest" after her stay in hospital.
