10 Disturbing Life Lessons Disney Movies Teaches You

Waltdisneypicturesspecialposter In recent years both animation and family entertainment have gone through drastic changes. What was acceptable in animated movies in the 1980s could get you crucified in today's society. The jump to 3D computer animation has left in its wake the 2D hits of yester years to stand like so many museum monuments gathering dust. As the old is replaced by the new and children of today are watching Pixar films, their Disney raised parents reflect on the movies they were raised with... and many are speaking out in horror as a result. A new notion has swept through the field of psychology that Disney films are not good for children, but in fact damaging, misleading, and in some cases even disturbing. The academic world now has a group of scholars that have labeled themselves as "Anti-Disney" and have spoken out against Disney's corruption of children. The question is are they correct in their accusations? Perhaps. There are significant amounts of research data that show Disney's "princess syndrome" is real and harmful to the minds of young impressionable girls. Although that issue is the most obvious, it is really only the very tip of the iceberg.
