9 Deep Sea Creatures That Are Definitely Aliens

Something just touched my leg... SOMETHING JUST TOUCHED MY LEG.

It€™s often said that we know more about the surface of the moon than we do the bottom of the ocean. That may have been true at one point but, given the ever expanding field of research that is deep sea exploration, the scales are certainly tipping in the other direction. Appropriately enough, most of the creatures that we're discovering down there in the abyss look like they came from the moon in the first place, and one or two of them are definitely (probably) aliens. Past a depth of about 200 meters, light levels rapidly diminish. This top, well-lit layer is called the photic-zone and the vast majority of reefs can be found in this small layer of the ocean. Past this depth though and organisms, by necessity, have to become less dependent on the sun. Predators can obviously feed on smaller creatures, but what are those small creatures feeding on? And what about the other problems of living at such incredible depths? Temperature and oxygen are both restricted, plus finding food or a mate becomes a lot harder in complete darkness. Simply moving is an incredible feat under the pressure of 6000 meters of water. But where there are problems, there are solutions, and some creatures have come up with truly some crazy means of surviving.
