10 Best Players Of World Cup 2018's Group Stage

9. Yerry Mina

We've seen a few defenders getting themselves on the scoresheet multiple times at the 2018 World Cup so far, including the likes of England's John Stones and Sweden's Andreas Granqvist, but Colombia's Yerry Mina earns his spot on the list ahead of those players due to the importance of his goals.

The Barcelona man has been absolutely brilliant for Colombia, playing a key role in their qualification. He scored the opener in the South American side's 3-0 victory over Poland and then smashed in a stunning header to win the key final game against Senegal, sending the Africans out and earning his side the top spot in Group H.

Mina has performed superbly at both ends of the pitch, providing those two big strikes and proving to be a very efficient defender as well. He's only 23 but has shown plenty of maturity at this World Cup and clearly has a very bright future ahead of him.
