Kit Manufacturer: Nike Sponsor: Etihad Airways City have employed Nike to produce their kits this season and in my opinion the American sports giants have done a better job than Umbro ever did in their time in charge of the Citizens kits. They have gone for a retro design by including the black and white rims but the shiny appearance of the shirt also gives a modern feel; the best of both eras. The clubs crest has also been surrounded in an outer badge, which usually signifies an anniversary for the team but no such thing is happening at the Etihad stadium. As with all of Nikes kits, it is made from recycled polyester from plastic bottles. This process is said to reduce the energy used in the process by up to 30%.
