If we didn't know it already, the seven winless games in the Premier League this season that have pushed the team into a relegation battle after a summer of rebuilding have proved that Alan Pardew is unthinkably untouchable. He has dragged the club's good name through the mud, picking up a seven game ban and a huge fine, which is considerably more memorable than the number of points he's picked up in the Premier League in the past year. And yet still Mike Ashley abides by his decision to give him a giant 8 year deal.
