10 Man City Players Who Should Fear For Their Future

With a club of such resources, no man is indispensable.

Manchester City are enduring a woeful campaign. In a stark mirror image of their pathetic and laboured attempt at defending their Premier League crown two seasons ago, Manuel Pellegrini's side have looked bereft of ideas and simply a shadow of the side who romped to the title in May, plundering 102 goals along the way. Were it not for the blistering form of arguably the world's most clinical out-and-out striker in Sergio Aguero, City would be even further off the pace in the race for the title, with a gap of eight points having opened up between themselves and the unbeaten Chelsea. While they have faltered domestically, dropping points at Stoke, West Ham and QPR, they have truly flopped once more in Europe's elite competition - amassing a paltry two points from their opening four Champions League group games. Having been dumped out of the Capital One Cup by Newcastle last month, their options for salvaging silverware are evaporating, so don't be surprised to see the ruthless Sheikhs wield the axe during the subsequent transfer windows. The side has been encumbered with lazy, laboured individuals keen to rest on their laurels. It is a stale squad, and needs to be freshened up. With Pellegrini fighting for his job, he may very well need to get out his cheque book in January if he is to save himself. Take a look at the ten Man City players who should be fearing for their future.
