10 Most Violent Fighters In UFC History

8. Robbie Lawler

Despite fighting in other organizations for a number of years, Robbie Lawler has carved out his own piece of history as one of the most frightening welterweights to ever compete inside the UFC.

From 2013-16, Lawler was an absolute menace to other fighters at 170lb. The former UFC welterweight champion had found a new lease on life after re-joining the promotion following a stint in rival promotion, Strikeforce. He seemed to enjoy fighting again, oftentimes giving his opponents his trademark unsettling smile once the cage door was closed.

While Lawler doesn't do anything too flashy, the weapons that he has are devastating and instant fight changers. His hands have been devastating for a long time, as we've seen with his knockout wins over Josh Koscheck, Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger. Once he incorporated kicking more into his arsenal, his attacks became even more frightening.

For newer fans, his current bad run of form in the UFC might make Lawler look like he's more than past his prime. However, the three years of sheer violence he gave fans should never be forgotten.
