10 Newcastle Players Who Threw Major Strops

Temper tantrums and Newcastle United almost go hand in hand.

St. James' Park has often been a cauldron of chaos over the last few years. There have been times when some have even wondered if the arena was a football club or a juvenile centre for young delinquents, such was their penchant for bad boys and prima donnas with attitude deficiencies. Whenever a manager has assumed the reigns of control at Newcastle United in the last few years, there has always been an assumption that they will have to stem the flow of expectation, get the frenzied home support on side, and iron out any malcontents within the group. There have been players who have spat out their dummies in bids to force through exits to a perceived bigger club. There have been those who have vented their spleen at having been removed from the field of play before the referee sounded the full-time whistle. There have even been players who have chosen to kick the living daylights out of an advertising board to demonstrate their inner torment at being made to continuously watch the team from the sidelines. Temper tantrums have certainly not been a rarity at St. James' Park. Take a look at the ten players who threw strops during their time at Newcastle.
