10 Of The Best: Foreign Palace Players

Some didn't stay for long, others stayed for years. All of them are legends.

Footballers come and go and often the line between failure and success is a fine one. A serious injury after only few games can curtail a once blossoming career while scoring a 30 yard thunderb*stard to win against your fiercest rivals can mean your name is spoken about adoringly for decades. Palace's history is littered with players that fill both descriptions aptly and today we celebrate those that came from foreign shores* and made it in to the pantheon of Palace greats. We all have our own favourites and players we idolise more than any other so it should be remembered that this is not a definitive list so please keep your complaints that Itzik Zohar didn't make the cut to yourself... He was wonderful but not quite wonderful enough for this list. It was him or a certain bald headed Italian so pipe down. Not all of the players listed will have stayed for Palace for long, while some will still be writing their own history at the club. However, I believe that they all deserve to be celebrated for what they've achieved. *To qualify, players have to have been born in - or have declared for - a country outside of the UK
