10 Players You Didn't Know QPR Almost Signed

Money doesn't buy everything. Or everyone, in this case.

No control. Those two small words are what sum up the transfer dealings of Queens Park Rangers over the last number of years. With both Mark Hughes and Harry Redknapp recently treating the club like a game of 'Football Manager', it's no surprise to see the results. Too many players of the wrong sort have been acquired, resulting in a bad harmony within the camp. Overpaid mercenaries with no affinity or loyalty for the club have aimlessly meandered through the door, using the club as a cash cow and treating supporters with nothing but contempt. However, while the club has been a revolving door of seemingly endless transfers since promotion to the top-flight was first acquired three years ago, there have inevitably been a string of players who the club have failed to entice. Despite their cheque-waving, promises of future bonuses and the lure of the 'project', there have been numerous players who have seen the club for what it was - a sorry state of affairs, with more money than sense. Take a look at this list of ten players QPR missed out on, despite their best efforts.
