10 Players Spurs Must Pursue In January

Mauricio Pochettino should put his own stamp on the Spurs squad in 2015.

Tottenham Hotspur's season just isn't going to plan. A promising start from Mauricio Pochettino's side (two wins in his first two Premier League games in charge and four wins in four games in all competitions) has been followed by what can only be described as a disappointing subsequent few months. Every time something seems to be going right - the club recently had three wins in a row against Hull City, Partizan Belgrade and Everton - everything seems to go wrong again (the club followed those three wins with a loss at Chelsea, a draw at home to Crystal Palace and a loss at Besiktas). Although Spurs are currently in all of the cup competitions they have been entered in this season, the most important competition is the Premier League - and they currently lie a disappointing tenth in the table after fifteen games. That simply isn't good enough, regardless of the fact that this season is considered be yet another "transitional" one - an excuse that is used all too often at a club who change their manager like most people change their clothes. January is coming, however, and wholesale changes are expected. Mauricio Pochettino signed a few players in the summer but none of them were really flagship signings and in this next window he is really expected to put his stamp on the squad. This article is going to highlight the players he should be looking at. Here are ten players Spurs must pursue in January...
