It's been a whirlwind year for Philippe Coutinho. Having started the season at Liverpool, Coutinho became one of the most expensive players on the planet in January of this year when he moved to Barcelona in a £140 million deal. He's had a great time with the Spanish giants so far, contributing with 8 goals and 5 assists in just 18 league appearances.

On the international stage, Coutinho has grown into an increasingly important player for Brazil, scoring four goals during World Cup qualification and adding another two strikes in recent friendlies. Alongside the likes of Neymar and Gabriel Jesus, he'll form one of the deadliest attacks at the World Cup.

He might not score as many as Neymar or Jesus, but Coutinho's creativity could prove key in unlocking opposition defences and helping Brazil dominate almost any opposition. He's a brilliant player to watch, with remarkable vision and superior dribbling skills. If he plays to the best of his abilities, he's a real contender for the Golden Ball.
