10 Things UFC Wants You To Forget About Ronda Rousey

Ahead of UFC 175, we look at the darkest moments of Ronda Rousey's career.

Ronda Rousey No one will ever deny that the women€™s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (9-0) is an absolute beast. She is arguably the most dominant champion in the entire UFC €“ male or female €“ making her first three title defences look unfairly easy and prior to this she had dominated the competition in Strikeforce. The scary thing about facing the 135-lbs champ is that as soon as she successfully closes the distance with her opponent and instigates a clinch, it usually spells the beginning of the end for whoever is stood across from her. From this position Ronda can use her impressive explosive power to throw anybody down to the mat before quickly locking up that notorious armbar. There is a case to be made that Rousey€™s preferred submission move which she has won eight of her nine fights with is as close to a pro-wrestling style finisher as we will ever get in MMA. Going into UFC 175 Ronda must overcome Alexis Davis who has looked extremely promising since coming to the UFC. Despite her proven grappling credentials with black belts in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and traditional ju-jitsu which could potentially allow the challenger to resist Rousey€™s submissions, bookmakers believe that the belt has very little chance of changing hands. With the departures and hiatuses of the likes of Georges St. Pierre, Anderson Silva and most recently Chael Sonnen from the UFC, you could make the argument that the women€™s bantamweight champion is the company€™s biggest PPV draw. With this in mind, the UFC are extremely eager to protect their prized asset and ensure that she remains appealing to fans. Here are the 10 things the UFC would love us to forget about Ronda Rousey:
