10 UFC Fighters Who Injured Themselves To Victory

8. Uriah Hall's Broken Toe (Vs. Thiago Santos)

Thiago Santos is back again, in another instance of being toppled over by an injured foe.

UFC 175 presented Primetime Uriah Hall, the heir apparent to Anderson Silva, with a chance to notch a huge win on his belt in the form of the Brazilian heavy-hitter. The fight loomed under growing pressure from Dana White as he claimed that if he didn't deliver on his early spectacular knockout potential, he would be cut.

He went for it and in the first round of the bout broke his second toe on his right foot to such an extreme that it was almost at a complete right angle to the rest of his digits. Well aware that his main weapons were his sudden flurries and rotating attacks, the loss of mobility hindered Hall.

Somehow, he pushed through the freak injury and earned a decision victory over Santos, making stubbing your toe look that ever bit more pathetic in comparison.
