Tottenham Hotspur Football Club seem to go through managers like a hot knife through butter. The Lilywhites have been through nine of them since the turn of the millennium alone - and that's not including coaches who took the role in a caretaker capacity while the club searched for a permanent boss - and they sacked two in the last campaign, as both Andre Villas-Boas and Tim Sherwood were shown the door. Since the Premier League was established in 1992, the success at White Hart Lane hasn't been great. Two League Cup wins, a further two League Cup finals, one Champions League campaign and a number of ventures in to the UEFA Cup/Europa League simply isn't good enough for a club of Tottenham's size in 22 years - and the managers in that time have to take some of the blame for that. There have been some truly terrible appointments in that time - and some that, while they may have seemed decent, ended up turning out badly and Spurs fans will be hoping that new boss Mauricio Pochettino breaks the trend, succeeds at the club, and is there for the long haul.
