11 Most Intriguing Revelations From Newcastle Fans' Forum

Now with translations...

This week, Newcastle held their regular Fans Forum, inviting fan representatives to pass on the questions of all fans, which led to some intriguing revelations about the club's intentions, finances and intentions for the future. Inevitably, some fans are unhappy that nobody challenged the club about the continued tenure of Alan Pardew despite his worrying form in the past 12 months. Quite how they would have answered beyond "the club is committed to making the right decisions for the team and the club in the mid to long-term" remains to be seen, but it will be galling for some that it wasn't brought up. But then, it's the fans who give the representatives the questions to ask, so presumably nobody wanted it asked. They did however, ask some intriguing questions and got some interesting, if not quite illuminating answers; here's what they actually meant.

11. Fan Ownership Would Not Work

Inevitably, thanks to the emergence of Labour-backed plans to try and change the nature of football club ownership to give more control to fans (the most opportunist agenda ever tabled by any opposition party), the question of how that might affect newcastle came up. Even more inevitably the club dismissed it as aspirational, but not viable. Translation You won't be getting a slice any time soon, silly dreamers.
