The Bluenoses have a new slogan and hashtag... #CityByBame.

Looking at their 2015-16 away shirt that city is Antwerp.

Birmingham City's away kit for this season features the colours of the Belgian tricolour and is "a bold appreciation" of the away kit worn by the likes of Trevor Francis back in 1972.

Ah yes, 1972. A dizzying year for the newly-promoted club who went on to finish 10th in the league, were dumped out of the FA Cup in the third round and didn't win the League Cup. Good times.

Their accidental Belgian nod could also be a ploy to attract more European tourists, Poirot fans and continental lager drinkers to St Andrews as the one-time Auto Windscreens Shield winners celebrate their 140th anniversary.

What the opposing fans will think of this bold appreciation will depend on how good their geography is.
