5 Moments That Made Ronda Rousey A UFC Legend (And 5 She Wishes We’d Forget)
9. Legend: Becoming The First Female Member Of The UFC Hall Of Fame
This past July, Rousey added to her many historic accomplishments by becoming the first female member of the UFC Hall of Fame. She would now be mentioned in the same breath as icons like Royce Gracie, Randy Couture, and Chuck Liddell.
As the first women's bantamweight champ and MMA pioneer — with a professional record 12-2 — the former Olympian is clearly deserving of the honor. Moreover, in terms of mainstream recognition, Rousey very well may be the most famous member of the prestigious club.
To truly put this accomplishment in perspective, one must remember that as recently as 2011, there wasn't a single female on the UFC roster. Thanks to Rousey, roughly seven years later, there is now a woman in the company's Hall of Fame.
