5 Reasons Liverpool Won't Win The League (And 1 Why They Might)

Liverpool have been a formidable side this season and have shocked many who doubted their ability. At Christmas they were top of the league and they're now in fourth place, four points behind leaders Chelsea. Their resurgence in recent weeks has led to many stating it is a four horse race for the Premier League title with eleven games to go, as Liverpool battle it out with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City for the crown of league champions. However, those who claim the Reds are back in the title race may have spoken too soon as there are factors that stack against Liverpool which will make it difficult for the club to win their first Premier League trophy in history. The Merseyside team haven't won the league in a generation, with the last victory coming way back in 1990 in the old first division. It is extremely unlikely that the club will rectify that record this season and give the fans the silverware that they crave. It's no criticism to Liverpool as they have come a long way this term but finishing champions is a step too far for Brendan Rodgers' side, here's five reasons why that is the case.
