As always, players from every corner of the globe have come to the fore and made a name for themselves at football€™s biggest tournament. Many of those catching the eye are from outside the Premier League and in some cases there were even unknown to English fans prior to the World Cup. However, come July 13 there will become the centre of many transfer rumours and speculation. It of course cannot be forgotten that while the World Cup maybe taking place, there is also the small matter of teams needing to strengthen their squads. Some have acted early, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all sending out a statement of intent with some expensive acquisitions. But many others are yet to dip into the market. Undoubtedly those suitors will be keeping tabs on several players at the World Cup. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, a pundit for French television at the tournament, is one manager who has admitted he has been impressed with the calibre of stars on show in Brazil. The players on this list have certainly staked their claim for a move to the Premier League this summer. All of them have been standout performers for their sides, no matter how prestigious a footballing nation their country is. Whether they do make the move to England€™s top division remains to be seen, but what is for certain is that Premier League would undeniably benefit from their arrivals.
