The goalkeeping circus at Anfield looks set to continue as fresh reports from The Daily Mail and Spanish sports newspaper Marca reveal that Liverpool target Alisson Becker would prefer a move to Real Madrid instead of England.

Liverpool had apparently been prepared to part with at least £60 million for the Brazilian stopper's services, but Alisson is keen to play the waiting game on a replacement for Zinedine Zidane in Spain. That may mean Jürgen Klopp will turn to Barcelona backup Jasper Cillessen.

If so, he'll have to act fast, because Arsenal and Chelsea entered the race for his services earlier this morning.

There's no doubting that Alisson is a top keeper, and his performances between the sticks for Roma (both in Serie A and the Champions League) have earned him well-deserved plaudits. He's a solid choice to replace Loris Karius at Liverpool, and yet it seems the player's head has been turned by Real.

Nobody can blame him there, but it must be incredibly frustrating for Klopp and company. Sorting out a new goalie before the World Cup this summer was surely a priority for the Reds boss.
