In an absolute nightmare series of events just before the 1990 World Cup, England captain and Man United legend Brian Robson would attempt to wake up a passed out Paul Gascgoine from his deep slumber.

In what was seen as an innocent enough prank at the time as Robson tried to roll 'Gazza' out of his bed and onto the floor by physically picking the bed up, disaster would strike.

Robson dropped the bed down onto his foot, crushing his bones underneath the sheer weight of it, and the rest as they say, is history.

Robson would go on to miss the entire World Cup with the injury, and one can only look on and think what might have been had 'Captain Marvel' been available for the tournament.
