Unfortunately for Alan Pardew, not winning has a habit of breeding, and right now the team is standing on the edge of a record-equalling poor run to the start of any Premier League season. If a win doesn't come against Swansea on Saturday, Pardew will have equalled the unwanted record of seven winless games from the 1999/00 season that saw the resignation of Ruud Gullit. If Pardew wants to avoid emulating the Dutchman, he needs to address some significant problems with the way Newcastle are currently playing, and there are some players in his ranks who could be the key to changing his side's form. Pardew has spoken about creating big players and inspiring big performances in Newcastle's next performances, and as the spectre of relegation looms large (enough for the manager to acknowledge the threat indirectly) there are seven players in particular that he should look to to inspire those big performances...
