7 Takeaways From UFC 225

5. Colby Covington Can Fight

Colby Covington is the villain of UFC right now. Whether it be Fabricio Werdum launching a boomerang at his head, threatening to slap Joe Rogan or offending the entire nation of Brazil, Covington never strays too far from controversy.

There was more talk about Covington’s antics outside the cage than there has been about his fighting style in the build up to his UFC 225 clash with former lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos for the interim Welterweight title.

‘Chaos’ put on an impressive display in his unanimous decision (49-46, 48-47, 48-47) victory in what was a tough match for both fighters. Woodley will likely be next for Covington in a bout to unify the Welterweight belt.

Covington knows he has the MMA world hooked by his antics and his victory at UFC 225 certainly helped bring him closer to backing his mouth up and showing fans that not only is he a good trash talker, but that he can fight.
