7. Roberto D'Aversa

Roberto D'Aversa's career is not the longest in world football by any stretch, however it is one of the more interesting. He was appointed head coach of Virtus Lanciano in July 2014 but was dismissed In January 2016 with the club sitting in second-last position in Serie B.

In December 2017 D'Aversa was appointed head coach of Parma Calcio in Serie C, where he guided the team to promotion to Serie B with a play-off final win. In the 17/18 season they came second in the league and secured promotion back to Serie A, their 2nd promotion in a row under D'Aversa.

Upon return to Serie A in the 18/19 season, he achieved a league position of 16th, 3 points above the relegation zone, their survival in the top league in Italy was seen as a successful year.

The new season has continued the ascendency of the club and Parma currently sit in 7th place having taken such scalps as AS Roma and Napoli so far this year.
