8 Most Overrated Teams At World Cup 2014

Sorry Italy, you've got no chance.

The biggest tournament in world football is rapidly approaching, and attentions have already turned to who could go on and lift the World Cup trophy next month in Brazil. A large chunk of the 32 teams have already been dismissed as potential winners, and there are the usual clutch of teams who are garnering all the attention regarding being a potential winner. Spain, Germany and Brazil are the three names on most people's lips when it comes to picking a winner, but this year, there are an unusually high amount of teams that seem to be getting way too much hype. All across the globe there are nations with a bit of buzz surrounding them, and the talk is that they can go on and seriously upset the apple cart in Brazil. In some instances, that might not mean winning the tournament, but there are plenty of teams being fancied to make some serious waves at the event. However, in all honesty, those sides don't stand a chance, and there are tonnes of teams who are being vastly overrated when it comes to the crunch. Teams with one or two great players that doesn't necessarily make a great team, for example. Or it could be a side that have been so hyped up over the last qualification period that we have all become convinced they can win it. Taking a step back and looking at the harsh reality of it, the amount of hype surrounding some nations is way over the top. Unfortunately, England very much fall into that mix, too. And alongside Roy Hodgson's men, there are a bunch of nations who are simply being talked up too much, and will eventually disappoint when they are dumped out of Brazil 2014 - a long time before the final.
