8 Things Allen Learned From NUFC Boss John Carver

What exactly did the two Magpies supporters find out from their face-to-face meeting?

Allen O'Connell and Thomas Concannon are not two faces who would regularly be seen at Newcastle United's training ground - but the pair visited John Carver on Friday in order to settle their differences. The duo argued with Carver in the dugout during last weekend's 3-2 loss to Swansea City that saw Newcastle extend their reversals to seven consecutive matches - and the Magpies boss decided to invite the disgruntled fans down to the training ground in order to speak with them face to face. This is an opportunity every single Newcastle fan can only dream of - managing to visit the club's training base to see their stars up close and personal, while also being able to sit down with the man in charge and probe him as to what he is doing to turn around the Magpies' perilous slide towards the relegation zone. Following the meeting, Allen O'Connell took to Twitter (@Allenocon14) to reveal exactly what the pair asked Carver, and how the Magpies boss responded to those questions. Carver revealed team news, promises that have been made to him, as well as how he rates his current crop of players. So here are eight things Allen O'Connell and Thomas Concannon learned from their sit-down meeting with Newcastle United interim head coach John Carver on Friday.
