Firstly, it's important to note how integral Carey was to the structure of the North Melbourne Football Club in the 90's, he was one of the most dominant forwards in the game, beloved by his supporters. Secondly, the circumstances of Carey's departure from the North Melbourne football club, and the end of his friendship with Stevens and Archer was dramatic.
