Arsenal 1-1 Everton: Premier League Player Ratings

Premier League leaders Arsenal were held at home by hard-working Everton, but a point extended their advantage over their rivals to five points.

Mesut Ozil bundled in what the Gunners thought was a late winner ten minute from time only for Roberto Martinez's men to reply through impact sub Gerard Deulofeu.

A draw at the Emirates Stadium caps a fantastic week for the Toffees following their famous away victory over Manchester United on Wednesday.

Everton had the better of the first 40 minutes, but their hosts then began to increase their own tempo. Martinez has only lost one league outing since taking over from David Moyes.

Arsenal dropping points here meanwhile keeps the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City in touch in the title race. The Toffees remain six behind the Gunners, finishing the day where they started it in fifth.

With a busy festive fixture list fast approaching every point is precious. Who impressed the WhatCulture sports team in this tight contest? We've rated the players on both sides starting with Arsenal.
