Arsenal: 5 Reasons The Gunners Can Still Win The Title

5. They Keep Picking Up Points (17 Wins This Season)

Sometimes we get a little bit carried away about things that aren€™t necessarily going to decide the title. The classic example of this is drooling over Man City€™s attacking display that has seen the club score 68 league goals this season. There seems to be a suggestion that the league will be won by the team that scores the most goals or plays the most attractive football. However, there is no reason to believe that will actually be the case as at the end of the day it will likely be won by the team that wins the most games. Some people think that Man City are streets ahead of Arsenal, but in the areas that really matter they aren€™t. The fact of the matter is that the Gunners keep picking up points and have won 17 games this season, the same number as their Manchester rivals and Chelsea. As things stand, Wenger€™s team sit in second place in the league with every chance of being champions; it€™s simply not necessary to score three, four or five goals in every match in order to win. Arsenal can keep quietly picking up points while everyone else continues to doubt their ability to get over the line, but they will cross that line as champions if they can keep doing what they have done this season so far.
