There has been a lot of discussion surround Mesut Ozil over the last few weeks. The German player started the season in superb fashion as did Arsenal, but as the Gunners challenge has started to tail off so has Ozils form. This has led some people to question if the player was worth the money spent last summer. There is now a fresh twist to all of this with the German now out injured for a period of at least one month. Of course, this isnt good news for the player because he wont be on the pitch to prove his worth. The theme of this slideshow is to prove that he is worth the money and the reasons why he is. As usual, I will be using strong opinions, facts and that all-important data from Who Scored to state my case. Ozil will be hoping that he can recover quickly from his injury and then finish the season strongly, especially with the World Cup in Brazil just around the corner.
