Arsenal: 5 Replacements For Arsene Wenger?

5. Rafael Benitez

Benitez Rafael Benitez' tenure with Chelsea is on an interim basis, in other words, it is not by any means long-term, despite the Blues missing out on Pep Guardiola, who recently agreed to join German side Bayern Munich. After throwing away a 2-0 lead to draw with Southampton, the Stamford Bridge faithful weren't afraid to vocalise their growing discontent as boos rang down from the stands. In all likelihood it is only a matter of time before owner Roman Abramovic moves on to his next manager. That would leave the Spaniard looking for work, and if there were to be a vacancy at the Emirates, he would be a decent, if not unpopular choice, admittedly. He isn't everyone's favourite person, but as a manager, he has been successful, there's no disputing that. He won two La Liga titles with Valencia before moving to Liverpool, where he won the most unlikely of Champions League trophies in 2005, along with one FA Cup, and he won the FIFA Club World Cup Championship with Inter Milan in 2010. Likelihood? It's doubtful that the Arsenal faithful would welcome Benitez with arms wide open, but he has had a successful career and his 2010 FIFA Club World Cup Championship win with Inter Milan means he won more trophies than Wenger has recently. 5/10 Source(s): Guardian
