£70 million to spend on new signings. Over a month on and the Gunners are yet to sign anybody. The Londoners have been the quietest of last season's top four in this summer's market, and while City, Arsenal, even Tottenham continue to splash the cash on reinforcements, the only activity Wenger's side has seen so far is two failed bids for Luis Suarez. Considering the Gunners only just managed to secure Champions League football for another year by the skin of their teeth on the final day of last season's Premier League campaign, and taking into account the fact it has now been eight years since the club won a trophy, it is clear to see why fans are disappointed with the current outlay. It's not all doom and gloom though because in the absence of "marquee signings" in recent seasons, some bright and promising starlets have begun to demonstrate their potential at the Emirates.
