Arsenal Look To Sign Barcelona's World Cup Winner

Arsenal have made contact with the agent of Barcelona midfielder Pedro who is available for a fee of around £15 million, according to The Independent. The player is in demand after failing to establish himself as a first team regular at the Camp Nou, mainly playing as a substitute behind Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. The 27-year-old who started 19 games for Luis Enrique's side last season and made 25 appearances off the bench scored 11 goals and grabbed nine assists. His formidable record has alerted the attention of a number of top sides including Brendan Rodgers' Liverpool but it seems the Gunners are currently in poll position to sign the talented winger. Perdo, who won the World Cup with Spain in 2010, has a £110 million release clause in his contract but Barcelona are looking for a fee of around £15 million. Arsenal signed Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech last week in a £10 million deal.
